John Wayne Wood's Obituary
John Wayne Wood, 65, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at his home.
John retired with more than 30 years of service at the GM Powertrain Plant in Fredericksburg. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by three daughters, Margaret Craye and her husband, Cornelis of Roanoke, Karen Wood and her husband, Jonathan Painter and Amanda Wood, all of Fredericksburg; two sons, John P. Wood and his wife, Paula of King George County and Michael Wood of Fredericksburg; and 16 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at noon Monday, October 7, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. John’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Quantico National Cemetery.
