John B. White's Obituary
John Bernard White, age 90, formerly of North Palm Beach, Florida, died on May 30, 2010. Beloved husband of the late Inez Montecalvo, John is survived by his devoted and loving daughters, Leslie White Butler and Maura White Callaway; two grandchildren, Bryan Callaway and Katherine Callaway; and two sisters.
John was a graduate of New York University, and served as a First Lieutenant during World War II and the Korean War. Following these conflicts, he worked as an engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and Republic Aviation. In 1951, John was awarded the patent for a ballast spreader. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and, in his retirement, enjoyed golfing, sailing and gardening.Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Thursday, June 3rd at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12805 Valleywood Dr. Woodbridge, VA 22192. Graveside services will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 5th at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Boys and Girls Town of Omaha, Nebraska. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.foundandsons.com.
