I am very saddened for Dr. Spivey's family. He cherished each one of you. While in Fredericksburg, he so enjoyed spending time with you, even if it was just a phone call. My prayers are with you.
I started my employment with Dr. Spivey when he left Pratt and moved into the Massad building to practice. I retired 20 years later while he practiced.at GAF on Care Way. So, we started together, (he retired shortly after I retired) and sort of finished together.
I would have liked to be there today but physically I cannot be. Age is not kind to everyone. May God comfort and keep you all. Janet Justice (JJ)

John was an admired classmate, UVA School of Medicine. I thought I knew him well until I read his remarkable obituary. I was very fond of John and his dear wife and will miss him at our Class of 1967 reunions. No one can deny his talents, gifts, love of family and friends, all blessings from God.
