John Russell's Obituary
Retired USMC Gunnery Sgt. John C. Russell, 69, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, December 28, 2009.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 until 1979 as a supply chief and career planner. John was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
After retiring, he transitioned into civil service for the federal government. He also ran the auto hobby shop in Okinowa, Japan. He worked maintenance at Camp Foster in the motor pool department.
John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Estuko O. Russell, one daughter, Wakano O. Williams and her husband Ron, three grandchildren, Krystal A., Karla J. and Kyle N. Williams, all of Fredericksburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday December 31, 2009 from 2 to 3 pm at Found & Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Thursday December 31, 2009 at the funeral home.
