John Peyton Pope Jr.'s Obituary
John Peyton Pope, Jr., 76, of Culpeper, passed away on July 2, 2022. He was born March 23, 1946 to the late John Peyton Pope, Sr. and Martha Knott Pope.
He was a devoted and beloved husband to Constance, a cherished and caring father to Robert, and loved being a grandfather to Dylan, Layla, Delylah, and Riley.
John also leaves behind his first wife, Barbara, the mother of his son.
He was many things to many people; a computer scientist, guitarist, radio guy, US Army veteran, cat lover, pilot, sailor, chef, clown, and an all-around renaissance man.
While his family and friends mourn his loss, they are also blessed for having known him and having been a part of their lives.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Dr, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Pastor Sarah Wastella officiating.
