John Kerlin Payne's Obituary
John Kerlin Payne, age 68 passed away on Sunday November 18th 2012. He is survived by his fiance Sandria Smith, Daughter, Kimberly (Payne) Miller, Son-in-law, Seth Miller, Father, Kerlin Payne, Sister, Estelle Beach, Brother, Eddie Payne as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and other family and friends.
John was a volunteer fireman for 24 years. He achieved the rank of Chief at The Orlean Fire Department. He was also a charter member of the Marshall rescue squad, a deputy at the Fauquier Sheriff's office for over 6 years, and an Officer with the Warrenton Police Department for over 9 years where he achieved the rank of Corporal.
He spent many years as a volunteer for Fauquier and for Culpeper Hospital. John played Santa Clause for 25 for churches, hospitals, nursing homes, local business and for friends and family.
Memorial Service to be held at Jeffersonton Baptist Church located at 18498 Springs Rd. Jeffersonton, Va. 22724, on Sunday, December 9th 2012 at 2pm with reception to follow.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Orlean Fire Department, Toys for Tots or to Kimberly Payne Miller to assist with John Payne's final wishes.
