Rev. John Earl Pack's Obituary
Rev. John E. Pack, 87, of Spotsylvania, went to heaven to be with the Lord Friday, June 24, 2011.
In loving memory of a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Rev. John E. Pack was born on August 11, 1923 in Bradley West Virginia, a son of the late John Newton and Maggie Susan Pack.
He was a coal miner, Pentecostal preacher and Carpenter. Loved reading the Bible, playing his Gibson guitar and hunting.
John is survived by his wife, Helen Pack; six children, Margaret and James Brooks of Bradley, West Virginia, Johnny and Brenda Pack of Culpeper, VA., James Pack and Brenda Winters of Gainesville, VA., Donna and Pete Hatcher of Bealeton, VA., Loretta Kilby and Jackie Webb both of Manassas; three step-children, Edgar and Crystal Bell of Fredericksburg, Doug Bell of Avandale, LA and Kenneth Bell of Spotsylvania. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy Evelyn Pack and his granddaughter Chasity (Sissy) Corbin.
The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ron Thayer officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be; Edgar Bell II, Kenneth Bell, Ricky Gilkerson, Elliott Farley, Christopher Farley and Brian Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in John’s name to Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg to help with funeral expenses.
