My prayers and love are with you and your family Nancy. If I was still in Fredericksburg I would have come to say a goodbye to John here on Earth. I have thought all week to try and come up with just the right words to say in regards to all John did for me and for others. It was at that moment…. I thought to myself, John always knew the right things to say. I could always call and ask advice and he would listen and provide advice, not judge mentally, but very kind and well thought out. I enjoyed your gatherings and I appreciate how much you opened your home and heart to others. Nancy… I know God has his loving arms around you and that he just needed one of the best Angels a little sooner.

Dear Nancy and all of your dear family, It seems like yesterday that I was lucky enough to share in the joy of your marriage to John nearly 45 years ago. Both of you were so happy and truly meant for each other. Wishing all of you peace in the difficult days ahead and strength in all the incredible memories filled with love that you and John created.
Nancy and family, I adored John he always was a calming voice of reason. He always had a smile, a laugh to share when I needed it the most. He adored you all and it showed in everything he did as a human. He led with love. I’m praying for you all during this time.
I want to reach out to Nancy CJ Jennifer Fred and rest of John’s family and his friends and tell you how sorry I am of hearing of John’s passing. I know he is going to be missed by so many. My condolences and prayers goes out to all of you.

My heart goes out to all of you - so hard to believe John has gone to his heavenly home. So many wonderful memories of his beautiful roses, Coi pond and waterfalls he put in, and the loving and beautiful home he took such meticulous care of. John always made me feel welcome when I stopped by to visit with Nancy’s mother, Connie. He so loved his family and I can still remember how proud he was of his miracle granddaughter, EmmaJo. I feel blessed to have known John, and because of his strong faith, we know he rests in the arms of his Lord. May God hold all of you in his loving grace at this very sad time.
