John Thomas Jett Jr.'s Obituary
John T. Jett, Jr., 84, of Stafford County passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home.
John served as a technical sergeant for the United States Air Force for 20 years until retiring in 1971. He then worked for Stafford County Schools for an additional 20 years until his retirement.
John is survived by his son, John T. Jett III and his wife, Brenda of Spotsylvania County; two daughters, Avola Riggs and her husband, Earl of Texas and Jennifer Jett of Stafford; a grandson, Joshua Jett and his wife, Lindsey; two brothers, Earl Jett and his wife, Peggy and Paul Jett and his wife, Callie; two sisters, Margaret Morgan and her husband, Roger, and Palma Blom; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Janet Marie Jett; his parents, Edith and John T. Jett, Sr.; and his children, James, Linda and Glenda Jett.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Interment will be private in Quantico National Cemetery.
