John Lewis Jenkins' Obituary
John Lewis Jenkins, 69, of Culpeper passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2014 surrounded by family and friends after battling with Parkinson’s disease. He was born February 17, 1945 in Madison to the late Ashby and Iva Coates Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins worked for VDOT for 33 years. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, hunting and running his dogs, landscaping and gardening.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Jenkins and his wife, Teresa of Reva, Teresa Butler and her husband, Paul of Culpeper, Belinda Deal and her husband, Bruce of Reva and Sherri Jenkins of Culpeper; his grandchildren, Tiffany Jenkins, Ricky Jenkins, Jr., Shelby Butler, Chelsy Butler, Morgan Butler, all of Culpeper, Brittany Deal and Brianna Deal, both of Reva, Hailey Jenkins, Bradley Franklin and Kellee Jenkins, all of Culpeper; and great grandchildren, Jayzmin, Javeah and Javian Smith, all of Culpeper.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Yowell officiating.
Interment will follow in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Jenkins, Ricky Jenkins, Jr., Paul Butler, Jr., Bruce Deal, Ronny Jenkins and Gary Jenkins.
