John Franklin "Bud" Huff, Jr.'s Obituary
John Franklin “Bud” Huff, Jr., 86, of Washington died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Montvue Healthcare Center in Luray. He was born August 22, 1928 in Rappahannock to the late John and Mary Weiner Huff.
Mr. Huff was an avid NASCAR fan especially his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Savilla “Peggy” Pullen Huff; five children, Nancy Horton and her husband, Kenneth of Washington, VA, Tammy Tharp and her husband, Glenn Tharp of Rixeyville, Tony Huff and his wife, Mendy of Amissville, John Franklin Huff, III and his wife, Linda of Amissville and Roger Huff and his wife, Sharon of Zanesville, OH.
Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, Glenn Tharp, Jr., Michael Horton, Matthew Huff, McKenzie Huff, Tyler Huff, Nancy Marie Huff, John Herbert, Logan Woodward, Kole Williams and Kyle Williams; and one great grandchild, Lee Tharp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Huff.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 2 pm at Washington Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Washington Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 238, Washington, VA 22747.
