John Henry L. Finnie's Obituary
John Henry L. Finnie, 81, of Prince George County, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond.
John is survived by his children, Kerry Finnie (Latoya) of Prince George, Terrace Carter of Petersburg, and Nathaniel Cox of Fredericksburg; three brothers, Tony Fennie of Texas, James Fennie of Michigan, and Jerry Fennie of Florida; seven grandchildren, Travis Finnie (Sharniece), Anthony Finnie, Marcus Finnie, Terrace Finnie, Joshua Pettiford, Nathaniel Cox, Jr., and Evan Cox; his dear friend of many years, Irene Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris; and three sisters, Fannie Mae Baker, Annie Lee Fennie, and Johnnie Mae Franklin.
John’s family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
