John Wayne Childrey, Sr.'s Obituary
John Wayne Childrey Sr., age 75, went home to be with his children, John Wayne Childrey Jr. (Jay) and Kimberly June Garver, Thursday, January 17, 2019. He was born June 14, 1943, in Halifax, VA to William and Mattie Childrey.
He was a tractor man and a Kubota salesman.
He is survived by his brothers, Mickey Childrey, (Charlotte), and Bill Childrey, (Carolyn), the children that he put in his heart to raise, Michell Hubble, (Bobby), John Grohs, (Cassie), Tommy Grohs, (Janice), Carl Grohs, (Kathy), grandchildren, Holly Childrey, Heather Henry (Brian), Adlin Hubble, Zack and Abby Garver, John John and Breezy Grohs, Eric and Shelly Grohs, Steven and Sarah Grohs, and one great grandchild, Jaxon Wayne (Popop's sidekick).
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brother, Roy Childrey, sister, Kitty Childrey Overby, and his two children.
Family, friends and others whose lives John touched are welcome to join the family on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA to reminisce, grieve, and share the love we all have for him.
