John Gibson Chambers' Obituary
John Gibson Chambers, 87, of Culpeper died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born September 26, 1922 in Fullerton, CA to the late Roy Gibson and Sarah Adams Chambers.
Mr. Chambers enjoyed boating, music and playing piano. He was a member of the Masons in Northern VA and the Optimistic Club.
He is survived by his niece, Rebecca Bailey, MD, his nephew, James F. Bailey, Jr., one brother-in-law, James F. Bailey, one sister, Betty Markel and her husband, Peter and David Chambers and his wife, Joyce, both of Costa Mesa, CA, five nieces and one nephew, all of California.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Settle Chambers.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
