John Thomas Brook's Obituary
John Thomas Brook, 63, of Spotsylvania County passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his home.
John served in the USMC from 1968-1971 and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked at Quantico National Cemetery for many years and he supported many veteran groups.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns, and spending time with his friends and family. He loved to laugh and tell stories.
John became an instant friend to everyone he met. He was a great husband, father, friend and role model.
John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vickie Lynn; a son, Jason and his wife, Jodie of Fredericksburg; his parents, Herbert and Lucy Brook; two sisters, Rosie Brook and Chery Kirby; and a brother, Herbie Brook, all of Massachusetts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Brook.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. An inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
