John Joseph Ayres Jr.'s Obituary
JOHN JOSEPH AYRES JR., 87, of Culpeper, Va. passed away on July 1, 2022 at Novant Health UVA Culpeper Hospital in Culpeper, Virginia. He was born April 12, 1935 in Washington, D.C. to the late John and Frances Ayres, Sr.
John was a proud veteran who served our country in the United States Army from 1954-1957 being stationed in Taiwan and the Philippines. John retired after 33 years with Pepco, serving as a line foreman and later becoming an electrical engineer.
John Is survived by his children; John J. Ayres III and Kenneth L. Ayres. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alaya Y. Ayres, Frances L. Ayres, Waylon L. Ayres and one great-grandchild, Bryston Ayres.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Betty Ayres.
Services will be private.
