John P. Avinger Jr.'s Obituary
John P. Avinger, Jr., age 78, of Tappahannock, formerly of Manassas Park, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
He was retired from Prince William County Transportation.
Survivors include his wife of 55years, Regina Avinger; four daughters, Margaret Franklin, Kate Jenkins, Teresa Furr and Tammy Corbin; a sister, Frances Snider; two brothers, Eddie and Ray Avinger; a sister-in-law, Jerry Harper; a brother-in-law, Lewis Eppard; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son John P. Avinger III.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM on Saturday, Feb. 19th at the Found & Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Rd. Manassas, VA 20109. Funeral services will be 12 PM on Sunday, Feb. 20th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Stafford Memorial Park.
