Joey Roberson's Obituary
Joseph Joey Wayne Roberson, 16, of Stafford died Friday, August 11, 2006 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Joey was a junior at Stafford High School where he played football since he was a freshman. He received his academic letter for his 3.8 grade point average, he loved hunting, was an avid fisherman, was a member of Fat Pack 4 Life (FP4L) and loved his many friends.
He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Sherry Roberson of Fredericksburg, maternal grandparents, Jane and Phillip Brown of Rice, VA paternal grandmother, Linda McCaskey of Fredericksburg; paternal grandfather, Keith Travis Roberson of White Oak; two uncles, Paul Roberson of Alexandria and Donald Decatur of Urbanna; three aunts, Cindy Roberson and Dina Decatur of Fredericksburg and Mary McDaniel of Rice, VA; a great-grandfather, Ernest Medley of Woodford and numerous cousins.
Joey is preceded in death by a brother, Hunter Roberson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 11:00 am at Stafford High School, 33 Stafford Indians Lane, Falmouth, VA 22405 with the Rev. Jim Weedon and Billy Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
