Joe Young, age 59, of Manassas, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. He is survived by two children, Chris Young and wife Christina, and Stephanie Young; three siblings, Jeanie Mullins and husband James, Ronnie Young and Debra Read Obituary
Cousin Joe. My thoughts are prayers go out to Joe's family and friends. I know how heartbroken everyone is and I wish for them peace in the knowledge that Joe has gone home. Out of pain and rejoycing in Heaven. Meeting with his loved ones that have gone before him. How wonderful the thought of that is. I remember Joe. Aunt Clara was my babysitter. Joe was the typical teenager. Can you say aggrivator? He loved to tease. He would tease anyone that got close enough (especially Debbie & Aunt Clara). He would purposly "shock" Aunt Clara and she'd turn her head slightly and say "Joe" over and over. Good hearted is an understatement. Always mindful of everyone around him. He was very close to my father, Cecil. Poker, fishing, poker, fishing.....They loved to do both. I remember him being in the basement apartment with my dad. He used to play the record "Mamma Told Me Not To Come" and I thought that was the coolest damn song I had ever heard. I remember Joe's love for Grandad and having to holler so he could hear, but I always suspected Grandad had "selective" hearing. I can hear Joe now trying to assure Grandpa of something or tell him about someone. Clara forever cooking and cleaning and trying to keep those men straight. Ronnie working around the clock and still running everyone around. They were a gang for sure. We've lost quite a few dear family members but I know that someday I'll see everyone again. although you are expecting a loved one to return Home, it is still hard. we remember the good time we had with Joe two years ago at the music fest you had in your yard. Try to remember the "good" times... Our condolences to all of you.

Uncle Joe...Your pain and suffering is over, and you've moved on to better days. I know Grandma and Mom were waiting with open arms. Though we only saw each other every few years, I have such great memories of those times, and the many phone calls. You are loved and missed ! Rest in peace....
