Joanne W. Peters
Joanne W. Peters 75 died of cancer on April 1, 2009 at her home in Manassas Park.
Joanne retired from Fairfax County Public schools after working there for 7 years and was previously employed by the Colonial Restaurant in Manassas where she worked for many years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years Lindberg Peters. Two daughters; Nancy Garrigan and husband Chris of Sumerduck, Mary Hess and husband Dwayne of Manassas; Four sons, Larry Peters of Woodford, Ricky Peters and wife Wanda of Culpeper, Dale Peters and wife Rita of Manassas , Johnny Peters and wife Rita of Manassas; Four sisters, Doris Smith, Florence Jenkins, Aileen Monk and Shirley McCann; Three brothers, William Waterson, Paul Waterson and Bob Waterson. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joanne’s family will receive friends on Saturday April 4, 2009 from 4:00-6:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109. A funeral service will be held on Sunday April 5, 2009 at 12 pm at Found and Sons Lee Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Ulm officiating. Burial to follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens.
