Joan Elizabeth White's Obituary
Joan Elizabeth White, 67, of New Creek, W.Va., passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at her home.
Joan was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved to take care of everyone. She loved her family and treasured time spent with them. Joan also enjoyed spending time with her close friend, Gerry. She also enjoyed creating crafts and beadwork.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Hott (Eric) and Julie Reid (Doug), all of West Virginia; a son, John White Jr. (Barbara) of Louisa County; four grandchildren, Dillion, Kristal, Emily and Robert; six great-grandchildren; three brothers; six sisters; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert White Sr. and a daughter, Sharon Ann Harding.
A service will be held at noon, Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. Joan’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Joan’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9904.
