Joan Marie Simmons' Obituary
Joan Marie Kelly Simmons, 83, of Fredericksburg passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Bowling Green Healthcare Center.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Franklin and Augusta Kelly.
Joan is survived by three children, Dorothy Simmons, Robert N. Simmons and Anne Simmons McGroarty and her husband, Patrick; four grandchildren, Fiona (Rose), Robert Emmett, Liam and Moira McGroarty, all of Fredericksburg and a cousin, Faye Riddick of New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert S. Simmons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 11:30 am at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1009 Stafford Avenue, Fredericksburg with Father Bjorn Lundberg officiating. Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
