Joan Margaret Mattingly's Obituary
Joan Margaret Mattingly age 78, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 28, 2011. Joan was born in Edinburg, Scotland on September 17, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur T. Mattingly and her son Michael A. Mattingly. Survivors are her sister Joyce Connell of Edinburgh, Scotland, her children David Mattingly, Karen Duncan, Susan Hubert, Scott Mattingly, Lesley Mattingly, and Carolyn Hull, Twelve (12) grandchildren, Four (4) great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life in her honor will be held on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm at 2775 Noble Fir Court Woodbridge, Virginia 22192. For more information please call 703-491-8650 – all friends and family are welcome. Her ashes will be returned to her treasured Scottish Homeland.
