Jewell Lee Ingram's Obituary
Jewell Lee Hobbs Ingram passed away peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Bowling Green Nursing Home.
She had worked many years at Peoples Bank of Stafford, before joining the FBI and retiring with twenty years of service.
Jewell was born January 5, 1935 in Lee County, Rose Hill, VA where she attended Thomas Walker High School. She was the eldest of six children.
After her marriage to “the love of her life” William Palmer Ingram, they resided in Detroit, Michigan before moving back to the family farm in Lee County.
The family moved to the Fredericksburg area in 1966 and planted new roots. She truly loved the area. Jewell was a feisty little white haired lady, always talking, always caring, and always a doting mother and grandmother.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Geri); grandson, Shawn; great-grandson, Chad Jr.; great-granddaughter, Brook Elizabeth, sisters; Janice and Betty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Palmer Ingram; grandson, Chad Alvery Ingram; her brother, Jimmy; two sisters, Shirley Jean and Judy; and her parents, Roy and Alma Hobbs.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel – Cremation service, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg.
