Jessie Hope Brown's Obituary
Jessie Hope Brown, 87, of Culpeper died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 4, 1924 in Culpeper to the late James William and Dora Walker Hansbrough.
Mrs. Brown loved her family deeply and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Battle of Rocky Mount, NC, Pauline Weakley of Madison, Melvin Smith and his wife, Sharron of Madison, James Smith of Elkwood, and Tammy Smith of Culpeper, sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Taylor Brown, two sons, Roger Lee Smith and Jesse Smith, two of her granddaughters her three sisters and four brothers.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
