Jess Willard Bright's Obituary
Jess Willard Bright, 73, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Bowling Green Healthcare Center.
Willard was a truck driver for Payne Trucking for many decades, and longtime friend of Danny Payne. He was affectionately known at work as Grinder. He was a colorful character that loved his grandsons; and enjoyed tinkering and restoring old cars.
Willard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; son, Stevie Bright; two grandsons, who called him Poppy, Jess and Jase Bright; and three brothers, Delbert Bright, Mack Bright, and R.S. Bright.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Elsie and Sylvester Bright, Sr.; three brothers, Jack, Jimmy, and Bobby; and two sisters, Lorraine Jenkins and Betty Johnson.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.
