Jerry William Richardson III's Obituary
Jerry William “Billy” Richardson, III, 62, of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at his home.
Billy was a fan of the Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards and listening to music, especially the Beatles. He was a competitive sportsman and was scouted by professional teams in high school as a pitcher.
Billy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol Cassiday Richardson; two daughters, Mary Widener and her husband, Eric and Carey Louise Richardson; a son, Jerry William Richardson, IV; his mother, Mae P. Ramones and her husband, Felipe; and his father, Jerry William Richardson, Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, all of Spotsylvania County; a brother, Carl Lee Richardson and his wife, Angie of South Carolina; three sisters, Sherri Palmer and her husband, David, Kimberly McBee and her husband, Richard, and Pamela Amorosi and her husband, Craig, all of Spotsylvania; four grandchildren, Tristan, Mikaela, Max, and Madelyn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marion Jerrell Pulliam.
Billy’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in Jerrell Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Billy’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
