Jerrie Kenneth Wade's Obituary
Jerrie Kenneth Wade, 75, of Culpeper, died Thursday, January 26, 2023 at his home. He was born November 10, 1947 in Hampton, VA to the late James Edward and Nanny Wade.
Jerrie was an avid fox hunter. He started in the James River Hunt Club, Bull Run Hunt Club, Keswick Hunt Club, and Deep Run Hunt Club, but hunted with many more. He was a true outdoorsman who loved his dogs, and gardening. He kept their farm immaculate.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Meredith “Meri” Jean Wade; two sons, Byron James Wade (Carolyn) and Aaron Joseph Wade; two grandchildren, Ryan A. Wade (Katelyn) and Madelyn R. Wade; one great grandchild, Keaton Wade; three brothers, James E. Wade, Jr., Fred Ray Wade (Suzanne), and Donnie Wade (Antha); one brother-in-law, Michael Bahr (Susan); and one sister-in-law, Sharon B. Minthorn (Richard).
A celebration of life will be held sometime in May.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jerrie’s name to Culpeper County Library, 271 Southgate Shopping Center, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.
