I’m Jeff’s nephw. After reuniting with this side of my family at 17 at first I thought he was just a guy living with his mother, but quickly learned that he was her support system and caretaker which impressed me as my family on my father’s side were mostly all positioning themselves to have me disinherited from my grandmother on that side and succeeded at that. Sadly I was unable to return to Culpeper for the funeral and I only found this page tonight trying to figure out how much older than me he was. I was remembering my heart attack and recalled his passing and realized I am only eleven years younger than he would be today. And I have already had that heart attack in 2007 and just lost a kidney to cancer in February of this year although cancer free now I am feeling my mortality and worried of the next life threatening illness or sudden health crisis. Nevertheless I’m glad to see moths commenting and sharing memories.
