Jefferson Monroe Farmer's Obituary
Jefferson Monroe Farmer, 85, of Spotsylvania County passed away peacefully at his home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s on Monday, January 14, 2013.
He worked at the FMC Plant until it closed and various other places around the Fredericksburg area until he became ill.
Jefferson is survived by his wife of more than 60 years, Dorothy E. Farmer; three sons, Thomas Farmer and his wife, Annie, and Jefferson J. Farmer, all of Spotsylvania and Lewis W. Farmer of Caroline County; a daughter, Shelia Cole and her husband, W.D. of Warsaw; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Callie and Fannie Farmer; a brother, Steven and a sister, Ruby West.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Round Oak Baptist Church, 15025 Pepmeier Hill Road, Corbin, VA with the Rev. Randy Newsome officiating.
