Jeanette Patrice Rogers' Obituary
Jeanette Patrice Rogers (Redd), 43 years of age, resided in Richmond. She passed away on June 25, 2010. Jeanette was born to Dorothy Jean Brown and Lewis Joseph Rogers Jr., on June 28, 1966 in Calhoun Falls, SC. She lived most of her life in Fredericksburg, VA. She attended James Monroe High School, and later a Business College in Northern VA.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Jeanell L. Rogers, Derrick Oakman, Nathaniel B. Jackson, all of Spotsylvania, James E. Johnson, Tamara R. Carter, both of Fredericksburg, and Kanisha R. Rogers of South Carolina, and three grandchildren, Elijah, Caleb, and Janiya, who reside with their mother Jeanell Rogers.
She is also survived by her mother, Dorothy J. Rogers, three sisters, Cynthia M. Rogers (Williams) of Fredericksburg, Judith Anne Rogers (Ruiz) of Georgia, and Shenetta (Renee) Rogers of South Carolina, a brother, Antonio Rogers, of South Carolina.
Jeanette is also survived by several aunts and uncles, Rosie B. Greene, Elizabeth L and Leonard L. Jennings, Floyd Brown, all of Fredericksburg, Lucille Rogers, Mae Rogers, Lillian Rogers, Charles Rogers, all of Calhoun Falls, SC. , several nieces and nephews, Antonia P. Rogers, Gregory C. Williams Jr., Michael A. Williams, all of Fredericksburg, John Thomas III, Alex E. Ruiz, Angelica C. S. Ruiz, all of Georgia, and a host of cousins and friends.
Jeanette leaves two long-time friends, Dawn M. (Williams) Fields and Joyce Williams, who stayed beside her throughout her ordeal.
Jeanette was preceded in death by father, Lewis J. Rogers, Jr, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday June 30, 2010 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The family will transfer her remains to South Carolina shortly after the memorial service.
The family requests that donations be made to a memorial fund that will be set aside to cover funeral expenses.
