Jean Conway Cropp Thompson's Obituary
Jean Conway Cropp Thompson, 88, died Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her residence. She was born September 4, 1936, in Culpeper, VA, to the late Tommie and Viola Turner Cropp.
Her children survive Jean, John Thompson of Culpeper, Cheryl Barnes of Goose Creek, SC, Dale Thompson of Culpeper, VA, Craig Thompson of Culpeper, VA, Dawn Thompson of Culpeper, VA, Scot Thompson of Monks Corner, SC and Shari Thompson of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Amy Hunt and husband, Sean of Madison, VA, Cole Thompson of Goose Creek, SC, Ashley Woodward and husband, Arlen of CO, Tommie Thompson of Culpeper, VA, Cody Thompson and Cory Thompson of Culpeper, VA, Katelyn and Christian Collier of Goose Creek, SC, Trey Vangundy of Somerville, SC, Shelby Thompson and Keira Thompson both of Culpeper, VA, and Corey McClanahan of Deep Creek, MD; great grandchildren, Emily Hunt of Madison, VA , Bentley Eason and Penelope Thompson of Culpeper, VA, Jaylin Aldridge, Reyah Collier, and Mason and Braxton Thompson; sisters, Joyce Bertocchi and Carole Martin; special friend, Tammy; and a host of additional family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, David Allan Thompson; son, Allan Thompson; her grandson, Brent Thompson; and brother, Buddy Cropp.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper with Pasto Hosub Sung officiating. Burial will follow in Warrenton Cemetery, 110 Leeds Court West, Warrenton, VA 20186.
