Jean E. Corbin's Obituary
Jean E. Corbin, 81, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Dogwood Village of Orange. Jean was born January 16, 1936 in Brandy Station, VA to the late James and Leslie Hill Settle.
Jean took great pride in tending to their home, she lovingly created a restful environment for her husband and their children, continuing to serve by her husband’s side becoming his personal assistant and his company’s administrative assistant, having owned and operated “Corbin’s Shell Station” over the last 40 years until his passing December of 2006.
Jean is survived by a son, David Corbin and wife, Alice of Culpeper; two grandchildren, Jason and wife, Jennifer, and Jeremy as well as their mother, Robin; five great grandchildren, Cameron, Jaydon, Jacob, Natalie, and Julianne; and one sister, Alice Jenkins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in death by a son, John “Randy” Corbin and two siblings, Billy Settle and Dorothy Pullen.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper with Rev. Lanny Horton officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
