Janis "Gidget" Herrell's Obituary
Janis Lynn Herrell “Gidget” age 69, of Culpeper, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023.
Janis was born on June 22, 1953 in Frederick, Maryland. The daughter of Claude Burch Herrell and Anne Catherine Karr.
Janis loved to worship God and praise his holy name. She loved listening to gospel music and singing along to every song. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was loved by all who got the privilege to meet her. Janis was known to many as Gidget.
Janis is survived by her children, William Cooke, Edward Cooke Sr. and Tina Cooke-Burke; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and her sister, Carol Ann Williams. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A Celebration of life will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel.
We will remember her and the love she gave us all. When you think of her, we hope you remember all the good times together and what an amazing person she was. Also, just because she is not physically here with us, she will always be in our heart and souls. She is rejoicing with our Lord and savior.
