Janice Marie Juliet Bowers, 64, of Fredericksburg, (originally from South Florida), passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2019 in her sleep with her grand dog, Charlie Barkley (aka Mugsy Boots), by her side.
She attended and graduated from South Plantation High School in Plantation, FL where she was editor of the school yearbook. Janice went to nursing school shortly after which lead to her lifelong career and commitment for the helping and healing of others. In 2015, she graduated with her Bachelor’s in English from Florida Atlantic University.
Janice had a thirst for adventure and wonder that stayed with her throughout her life. She was a lover of literature, comedy, music and prose. She had a gift for making friends that would last a lifetime. She was incredibly generous to everyone she cared about. Always positive, passionate and loved the little things in life. Janice’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to her daughter, Marissa, and would regularly refer to this as her greatest accomplishment.
In 2018, she moved to Fredericksburg to be closer to her daughter and her son-in-law. Janice loved furnishing her new home and meeting friends in the community. She was truly happiest in her new home looking out her beautiful windows.
