Janet Heflin Dodson's Obituary
Janet Heflin Dodson, 75, of Culpeper died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born March 24, 1940 in Culpeper to the late Everett and Mattie Curtis Heflin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, M.R. ‘’Shine’’ Dodson, Jr.
Mrs. Dodson was an avid Redskins, NASCAR and UVA sports fan. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is survived by two children, Debra Dodson of Culpeper and Doug Dodson and his wife, Gayle of Culpeper; three grandchildren, Sydney, Barrett and Raegan Dodson; and three siblings, Douglas Heflin and his wife, Barbara , Linda Jenkins and her husband, Billy and Michael Heflin and his wife, Delsie, all of Culpeper, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
