Janet reminds me of the adage to "be yourself because everyone else is taken!" Janet WAS herself--without pretense of any kind--a genuine, refreshing, reassuring presence. She will be missed by so many. Bill and I send our deepest condolences to Roy on this immeasurable loss. Remember, Roy, there will be a time when the countless memories you have of Janet will bring smiles. No one can take those memories from you; they are yours alone.
It was always a pleasure talking to Janet at Roy's Market. She was a special part of the Sperryville community. She will be missed.
Irv and I send our deepest sympathies to Janet’s family. Janet was one of our favorite things about Rappahannock County. I loved how she would tease/laugh at my husband for never being able to leave the store without a pie, an ice cream sandwich or some cranberry oatmeal cookies. We will miss her smile! Janet provided the very best ‘Fruits of the Forest’ pies and fresh peaches in all of Virginia! She was always full of fun banter and conversation as we checked out and paid for food. And she loved the picture of Elvis Presley behind the counter. She will be missed. Prayers to Roy and family.
