Jane Alice Jenkins Elkins' Obituary
Jane Alice Jenkins Elkins “Baby Jane”, 70, of Fredericksburg, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. She was born April 15, 1944 in Culpeper County to the late Lucy Kennedy Jenkins and James Benjamin Jenkins.
Jane loved her grandchildren, her daughters and all of her family tremendously. She was an avid Elvis fan, loved bluegrass music, animals of all kind and professional wrestling. She always had a kind word for everyone she met and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her kind heart and feisty spirit was admired and loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters, Constance J. Enochs and her husband, Ronnie of Knob Noster, MO and Cindy D. Elkins of Fredericksburg, VA; and four grandchildren, William A. Skinner, II, Brianna D. Skinner, Joseph A. Enochs and Samantha J. Enochs.
Additional survivors include her sisters, Sarah A. Smoot, Lois M. Short and Mary E. Early, all of Culpeper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Elkins; brother, Benjamin R. Jenkins; and sisters, Virginia F. “Sis” Jenkins, Ruth E. Geil and Jessie G. Jarrell.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 4-6pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
