James Robert Woodward, Sr.'s Obituary
James Robert Woodward, Sr., 57 of Locust Grove died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Woodward was born in Remington June 6, 1950 to the late Jacob and Lottie Peyton Woodward.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He would do anything for his family not matter what it was.
His family was his pride and joy. His favorite thing to do was work on and restores old race cars. That’s what he loved to do the most along with drag racing with his son Jay. He loved to be outside doing something with the grandchildren or working on the cars.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Ann D. Woodward and four children, Gary Cornwell of Mississippi, Sandy Butler of Culpeper, Jay Woodward and his wife, Mikal of Locust Grove and Teresa Farrell of Florida.
In addition, he is survived by three siblings, Richard Woodward of Forest, VA, Shirley Campbell of Culpeper and Douglas Woodward of Remington.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Chad and Ciara Cornwell, Brooke Farrell, Tori Murray, Bethani Butler and Mikayla Woodward.
Jimmy was preceded n death by two brothers, Edward Jenkins and Franklin Woodward.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike. Family and friends are invited back to the families home for a time of fellowship following the service.
