James Kemper Duncan's Obituary
James Kemper Duncan, 87, of Crozet died July 17, 2007 at Mountainside Assisted Living in Crozet, VA. He was born on July 31, 1919 in Culpeper, VA to the late Edward Pendleton Duncan and Mary Ethel Bennett.
Farming was Mr. Duncan’s life. He loved being outdoors working the land and driving his John Deere tractor. He enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sisters, Louise Batten and her husband, Clarence of Culpeper and Fannie Clatterbuck of Front Royal and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Mountainside Assisted Living for the care and compassion that was bestowed upon Mr. Duncan and his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Fairview Cemetery at 3 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Wilson officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Clatterbuck, Jimmy Jenkins, Wayne Ashbrooke, Robert Brown, Samuel James, Mike Clatterbuck.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Duncan’s name to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Rd. Suite 2, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
