James Edward Dillion's Obituary
James Edward Dillon, 56, of Orange, formerly of Reva, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at his residence. He was born on October 15, 1950 in Fairfax, VA to Virginia Maley Dillon and the late Kenneth Barker Dillon, Sr.
James was a huge NASCAR fan and especially enjoyed watching his favorite drivers, Dale Earnheart and Dale, Jr. He was also very devoted to his Dallas Cowboys football team. He enjoyed working in his garden and loved life to it’s fullest but his greatest love was for his precious grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Judy Lemen Dillon, his children, Robert Staats of Reva, Linda Staats of Culpeper, Virgie Fincham of Culpeper, Tori Nalls of Orange and Chris Staats of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include his siblings, Margaret Pelkey, Cathy Deane, Mary Coffey, Kenneth Dillon, Jr., Robert Dillon, and David Dillon and his grandchildren, Robert Staats, Jr., Amanda Torreyson, Chante Meeney, Joseph Staats II, and Jacob Staats, his mother-in-law, Victoria Kidwell of Boston and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends, on Friday, August 31, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dillon Family Cemetery in Orange.
Pallbearers will be Allen Pelkey, David Dillon, Robert Dillon, Kenneth Dillon, Greg Deane, and Bo Dillon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Dillon Family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
