I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family of James Wynham. Although our contact was brief and limited, and was held over 6 months in the context of him assisting me to obtain special accommodations for the ASWB exam at a time when I was dealing with an unexpected disability, of all the people with whom I've crossed passed in my 66 years, he stands out as one of the finest, most caring, and most responsible. He fact, he just stands out. I reached out again recently and was very hurt and saddened to hear that he has past on to the supernal, divine worlds of angels and saints...but then again, I could not think of more appropriate person to be there, helping others as he did on earth. Although in a bureaucratic position, he modeled for us the essence of what a social worker should be and is. May God provide comfort and peace to those who mourn him.

I called the ASWB to thank James for his unbelievable help when I was lost in the system trying to figure out how to obtain disability accommodations. A year and a half ago, everyone told me, oh you need to talk to James, he's the guy who will show you what to do- and they weren't kidding, he really took care of me and helped me to find my way through two license exams regarding accommodation requirements. I would have been utterly lost without him, and he made the process so simple and doable. He would email me promptly and go out of his way to call me to answer questions or let me know that my papers were received. He never rushed me and even offered words of encouragement when I had to redo some of my paperwork. James just went above and beyond. I was so moved by his support and utterly shocked to hear that he passed when I called last week. He passed two weeks before I could tell him thank you for making it possible for me to achieve my dreams- I passed the exam on Dec. 28th- now he has moved on to his next journey and I will have to share that thank you with others who knew him. I cried in my office even though I never met this man. His work was a huge part of what made it possible for me to have a career, as without accommodations, I would never have been able to make it, His work allowed for me to focus on the stress of studying rather than the stress of paperwork. In his honor, I will make the most of my social work license- help others as he has helped me. Thank you James, wherever you are- I won't forget your kindness, your devotion to helping a complete stranger, and your commitment to an incredible and honest career of service.

I had the pleasure of working with James when I was at ASWB. He was very dedicated to his work and a friend to all his coworkers. He was always smiling and could make you laugh. He truly cared about others and really loved the Lord. His biggest love was for his wife Susie and their beautiful daughter Lyvi. He would always show us pictures or videos of baby Lyvi and you could see how proud he was of his family. He truly will be missed, but I know he is well now with the Lord. I pray for the family and hope you can find comfort in the memories of a sweet soul! My prayers are with you, Betty Randall

James was a coworker of mine and a very dear friend. James would share a lot of great stories of Holidays with family and events from his church. He talked about his wife Susie and daughter Lyvi and showed pictures. I will miss him greatly. My condolences to the family. You all are in my prayers. Sylvia Christian
