James Edward White's Obituary
James Edward White, 74, of Rixeyville, VA died on July 24, 2010 at The Meadows at Evergreene in Stanardsville, VA. He was born on June 1, 1936 to the late Samuel and Lottie White.
James retired after over 35 years of loyal service to the Continental Bakery Company. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, farming his cows, but above all, he enjoyed talking to people. James never met a stranger and everyone truly loved him and he loved them. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Ross Lee “Doll”. Through their union of love and marriage they devoted their life to their five children.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hayden of Culpeper, 5 children, Sylvia Johnson and her husband, Lawrence of Culpeper, James E. White, Jr., and his wife, Dorothy of Charleston, SC, Leroy J. White and his wife, Angela of Locust Grove, VA, Timothy L. White and his wife, Heather of Culpeper and Rodney B. White and his wife, Helen of Culpeper, VA.
Additional survivors include 12 grandchildren, Tracy Johnson, Tammy Johnson, Lawrence Johnson, Jr., Justin L. Horsley and his wife, Wila, Alicia Huff and her husband, Michael, James E. White III, Christopher J. White, Leroy White, Jr., Terence White, Ross White, Ryan White, Renee Brown, 7 great grandchildren, his dog, Roscoe and a host of family and friends.
