James Walter Turner, II's Obituary
James Walter Turner, II, 86, of Jeffersonton passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 23, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late James and Mary Tutt Turner.
Mr. Turner served in the US Army having attended Officer Candidate School then upon completion he was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant of Artillery and continued serving in the Army Reserves. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, family vacations, cars, tending to his roses and took great pride in his lawn.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Marjorie Dennis Turner; three children, Mary Ellen Turner of Morris Plains, NJ, Georgette K. Fontaine and her husband, Keith R. Dennis of Culpeper and Lisa Dawn Turner of Culpeper; and one sister in law, Lucille Richards Turner of West Palm Beach, FL; and four grandchildren, Zachary James Turner of Jeffersonton, Kiele Gabriel Turner of Morris Plains, NJ, Glorianna Marie Giallombardo of Culpeper and Mackenzie Grace Scott of Culpeper; and nephew, Jeffrey J. Turner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy C. Turner and one Nephew, James Walter Turner III.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
Inurnment will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers honored will be Charles Jameson, Reva Tutt, Donald Dade, Michael Dennis, Steven Jameson, Jeffrey Dennis, Michael Scott, Kevin Dennis and Walter Adams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Rapidan, c/o Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
