James "Stu" Stuart Hitt's Obituary
James “Stu” Stuart Hitt, 59, of Castleton, VA, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Brookside Rehab and Nursing Center in Warrenton, VA. He was born March 6, 1966, to Shirley Ann Hitt and the late James Harrison Hitt in Culpeper, VA.
Stu’s passion was anything related to vehicles, from painting them, working on them, to driving them with a Diet Coke in his hands.
Stu is survived by his daughter, Holly Hitt; granddaughters, Cameron Yake and Leigha Yake; sisters, Lisa Hitt Releford (Jim) and Misty Hitt; aunts, Hazel Haines, Lois Alther, Ruby Gray, and Dorothy Scott; uncle, Glenn Hitt (Terry); nephews, James Cory Releford (Kristie) and Jeremy Lucas; a great nephew, Bryson Releford and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Stu is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Alan Hitt.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 30, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 4160 Rixeyville Road, Jeffersonton, VA.
