James William "Bill" Strohecker's Obituary
James William “Bill” Strohecker, 68, of Spotsylvania, passed away on October 19, 2022 after a long battle with cancer, with his devoted nurses and friends, Angie, Nieshia, and Nora, by his side.
He is survived by his father, James Pomeroy Strohecker, his cousins, Martin Strohecker, Kate Strohecker, Julie Osborne Blick (Rob), Jay Osborne (Kim), and Raymond Osborne(Susan).
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Marie Powell Strohecker, and his mother, Julita Marie Provost Strohecker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9600 Carnitas St., Fredericksburg. Interment will be held at a later date.
Bill fought a hard battle with glioblastoma brain cancer of which there is no cure. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to: Glioblastoma Drug Discovery Group, Kwatra Lab P.O.B 3094 Duke University Medical Center Durham, NC 27710.
