James G. Sanborn's Obituary
James Garrett Sanborn, 60, of Boston died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born April 4, 1951 in Washington, DC to the late Melvin and Marjorie Downs Sanborn.
Mr. Sanborn worked construction for over 30 years and was owner and operator of D.R.S Construction, Inc. He loved his motorcycles and his cats but above all his grandchildren and had “hearts in his eyes when he saw them”.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy R. Sanborn, one son, Mark A. Sanborn and his wife, Karen M. of Sperryville, three siblings, Teri, Sandy and Michael and their families, and four grandchildren, Garrett, Galen, Quinn, and Isabella.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, with Elder Dale Long officiating. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to your local Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
