James Arthur Rose's Obituary
James A. Rose, 63, of Spotsylvania County, lost his courageous fight with cancer on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at his home.
Jim served in the US Coast Guard from 1965 until 1968. He worked and retired from Moore Business Forms in 1990 and later retired from the Spotsylvania Schools Maintenance Department in 2008 where he worked as an HVAC mechanic.
Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pearl; two daughters, Donna Campbell and Jody Byies and her husband, Richard; two sons, Tony Rose and his wife, Lynn and Timothy Rose and his wife, Lori, all of Spotsylvania; his mother, Elizabeth Nichol and her husband, Jim of Kentucky; two brothers, William Rose and his wife, Elaine of Massachusetts and Willard Rose and his wife, Inez of North Dakota; one sister, Brenda Perry and her husband, John of Spotsylvania and five grandchildren, Westley Campbell, Katelyn Rose, Michelle Rose, Zachary Byies and Carrie Byies.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Willard A. Rose.
Jim’s family will receive friends Monday, August 29, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 am at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jack A. Marcom, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
