James Harold Myers, Jr.'s Obituary
James “Jim” Harold Myers, Jr., 51, of Elkwood passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He was born November 22, 1962 in Alexandria to the late James H. Myers, Sr. and Marion Bell Myers.
Jim was a loving husband, father and friend. He was devoted to his family and his Jack Russell’s who were his “little munchkins”, Ooby-doo, Smokey, Bandit, and he even tolerated Cotton.
He is survived by his wife, Lindsay Louise Myers; his children, Daniel John Boucher of Gainesville, Valerie-Anne Louise McCawley and her husband, Edward of Culpeper and his son and best friend, James Harold “J.T.” Myers, III of Elkwood; one sister, Vivian Leigh Sigouin and her husband, Richard; one grandchild, Cayden Wayne McCawley and a co-worker, Larry Long whom was like a brother to him and a very good friend, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and loved ones he cared for in various ways.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Roberta Lynn Walker and one grandson, Jayden Wayne McCawley.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10 am at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, 23557 Germanna Hwy, Lignum, VA 22726 with Rev. Stan Mulford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Prosthetics Empowerment Group, 15116 Parkwood Circle, Orange, VA 22960.
