James Francis Minihan's Obituary
James Francis Minihan, beloved husband of Sandra Y. Minihan, passed away Tuesday, February 23, at the age of 63, after a prolonged battle with cancer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Christa Ezzell and her husband Michael of Hume, VA, James Francis Minihan of Ft. Belvior, VA, John Francis Minihan of Orlean and David Francis Minihan of Orlean; one sister, Laureen Davenport of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two grandchildren, Christopher and Chloe Ezzell; and dear friends Dave and Karol Bierlein.
Jim was born in New York City to the late James Francis Minihan and Patricia Simmons Minihan. An avid outdoorsman, he moved to Virginia, residing near Orlean. Jim loved nothing more than to be at home, surrounded by family and friends at the holidays.
A founding Partner of IMERGE Consulting, Jim contributed significantly to enterprise management of information beginning in the 1980's, and was a pioneer in the development of modern workflow and business process management. Jim was known throughout the industry as a visionary thinker with a keen eye to the best solution to any problem. Special thanks to his colleagues at the office of the Kansas Secretary of State for all their support during Jim's illness.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St., Culpeper, VA with Fr. Anselme Malonda-Nkuanga officiating.
